Weeee! i wish all our hotels were service apartments!!

I was hooked onto the free in room wifi once i checked in.
Havent even unpacked n i'm supposed to nap before going out with the other flygirls to check out party scene!!
Was busy on Facebook checking out friends' Halloween pics.
It was hilarious! ;D

Met in lobby at 10.40 pm

Caught a cab to The Palace at One n Only Mirage (or something called that) where Kasbar is.

We flashed our crew passes n everything seemed dandy n fine except we forgot tt the clubbing age limit in Dubai is 21!!!!!

Well, not tt i'm underaged... but one of the girls was just 20!!!
My sister's age!!! n she was denied entry!!!

N we all forgot she was not 21 yet.
Gee....i must say now tt if my sister join cabin crew, i sure cannot sleep every night.
Having seen n experienced wat i had these 4 years while flying, i sure become super worried one lor.
i even imagine myself being more possessive bout her than with any boyfriends man.
Make sure she call home at every destination n all... yikes!

So anyway.... we had to find another place to go after a quick discussion tt she could use the other girl's ID n we enter separately in 2s instead.

We made our way to Chi Bar at The Lodge cos one of the girls has a friend in Qatar Air who said tt it's damn happening n atas n there was a guest Dj there tt night.
The reason we stopped by Kas Bar first was cos she said there was a queue of bout 50 pax outside Chi.

BUT WHEN WE GOT THERE....

Firstly, the crowd is not as atas as described.
N... what fucking crowd she talking bout!?!??!?!
The place was EMPTY can?!??!

Secondly, the Guest DJ was playing indian music......

So thirsty liao running here n there.
Cab fare from Angsana to Kas Bar at first was bout 40 dirhams (1SGD=2.3 AED)
N then from Kas Bar to The Lodge(behind American Hospital) is another 60 AED...

Drinks not cheap also lor.
We bought rounds.
2 vodka OJs, 1 dry martini, 1 lime margarita = 154AED

Actually i think i will go club with my sis if i can bring myself to smoke in front of her lor.

I went to chat with one of the wait staff n found out tt next door playing RnB.
N off we went!
How to dance to indian music!?!??!
Plus maybe the crowd went there!!

But again... not a single soul in sight...

ON A SATURDAY NITE!!

Apparently the wait staff said tt Sunday nites r more happening....
At least in Dubai...

The next day, i rose at noon n had sudden inspiration to make use of the kitchenette...
Why not? it had everything i needed...
Full set of knives, chopping board, microwave/convection oven, boiler, toaster, utensils, plates. bowls, pans, pots, can opener blah blah blah...

I tot i would jus buy something from Nandos n then whip up something easy for sides.

Cos the fact is.... i DON't cook one lor.
I can't even fry an egg, i always burst my sunny side ups!
Only tried pasta once n it was with my mommy next to me!

yar lar i suck. bleah ;p

But i found out tt the overhead bridge to Nandos damn far away n its impossible to cross the flyover, n it was too damn hot n sunny outside (hello it's freakin Dubai!) to walk tt far n i ended up buying fresh mushrooms, pasta etc at the grocery store nearby n went back n did this...

Broccoli, mushrooms, chicken tomato based sauce for pasta...
I'm so sick of cup noodles n instant food n expensive room service!!

Ta-dahhh!!!
My first meal cooked outstation. Healthy food somemore k!
All done while Boyfriend was on my computer screen n we were Skyping...

Okie lar... with minimal condiments (no salt no pepper! just olive oil n ready made tomato sauce!).... it's actually edible.

Im not such a bad cook after all..
Gonna give the egg frying thing another go tomorrow...

BTW, did i mention already that Skype damn fun can!!
I know lar, once again i'm damn slow in such things being the laggard tt i m but it's like the best thing ever!

Me n Boyfriend can have a conversation over our meals together even though we r thousands of miles apart n while he play game i can read my papers like we r in the same room n it's FREE!

Of cos the boyfriend in question when u wanna Skype must be wonderful enough to wanna spend an entire 8 hrs in front of a screen too... *gush* ;)

Okie im gonna make myself a snack n the crew r bugging me to go down to the crew room!
