Gen Y crew: Attitude Problem with a need to be put into place.

Something's wrong with the junior crew these days.
N by junior i'm talking bout crew generally bout 2.5 yrs flying to 0 yrs.

1) They all think they r god's gift to their colleagues. 9 months flying.. 1 year flying .. so wat!?
Not business class trained yet but act like everything also know.
irritating...

2) Business class trained liao... but work buay jai.
But act like damn eh sai.
I say damn kana sai.

Gone r the days when they used to dictate the height of yr hair or the shade of yr nail polish by seniority. An unspoken rule.
Gone r the days when the seniors die die must eat first then u get to eat.
Gone r the days where u r humiliated in front of the pax n fellow crew with mincing words n looks...
Gone r the days one has to drag oneself outta bed n give the entire set of crew wake up calls for lunch dinner n breakfast n wat not.

Sure.. these newer colleagues r happily drinking in the more relaxed culture..
So they seem to forget tt their JOB is to WORK ONBOARD...
Not just to cruise til destination n shop n sight see... - ___-"


Dun be mistaken..
I never was one to zap colleagues more junior than me.
In fact, there were situations I bite my tongue when some non respecting bitch say something completely unnecessary. I just give that patronising smile back. ; ]
I find it hard to correct someone else esp when I have no formal authority.
I guess everyone has the same mentality n that's why standards have slacken.

But hearing the stories i been hearing for the past few months..
N stumbling on to some blogs n reading them..
I would like to say this to my fellow colleagues of tt category i speak of.. :

If someone says u've got an attitude problem.. it probably is true.
U suck it in n say yr sorries n thank yous.
Dun try to expect everyone to like u n take care of u when all u think bout is yrself.
Pls be mature cos i understand tt this might be yr first job for many of you,  but u r now a working ADULT.

U r in a line where a humble attitude will bring u places n make things easier for yrself.

Pls also work with consideration to other pple. Watever u do has consequences which affect yr colleagues.

Otherwise... do serve up yr 18 month (or more? i dunno if there's a change) bond n leave the airline.
We dun need u n yr ooh-look-at-me-sashay-down-the-aisle-with-my-false-eyelashes-n-wadeva bimbotic nonsense.
We do not enjoy breathing down yr neck as much as u not like it too..
Really, we just want to get our jobs done n have everyone put in their fair share cos we're all paid the same allowance.

I hate to say this...
But some of my newer colleagues r REALLY getting on my nerves more so recently..
And the yaya papaya ones r usually boys N girls aged 24 n below.

I seriously wonder if it's age or pure naivety.

Or just the way the newer generation is being brought up.
