Athens; & this mysterious Greek island Santorini...

once again... no one's on msn cos they r all out partying la

I'm so tired from running around....

Haven't got the bloody time to go thread my eyebrows...

And just cut hair after like 4 months on wed only....

And still owe Horny her makeover-shopping session...

I miss Zouk... but always no khaki to go with.
Ended up going to MoS on wed nite again with Fi n Mel...

Wah lau.... Fi had like 4-5 more guys approaching her that night again...
and these men were not the sleazy one-nite stand pick up types... they actually look as if they were truly smitten by her...

One of them even said something like this to Mel when Fi was busy chatting with gorgeous himbotic male model:
"when she walked into the room, i couldn't take my eyes off her...
i feel like i could really fall in love with her..."

And this guy was cute too lor...
Hilarious right!?

Me n mel can't figure out how come she so power can make men fall in love with her at first smile, glance, look. hahahaha~

And both nights, Fi was given free passes by the bartender !...
cool huh! ;)

Wat's weird was ... Biker Boy Beng kinda looked smitten by her as well when he joined us Wed ... gee....
that's a weird feeling~ but oh well... ;D

Teamboy Jay n myself; Acropolis on hill behind

Visited the Acropolis my first time to Athens, June 05.....

And went on the 3 island cruise: Hydra, Poros, Aegina

see... cabin crew age 5 times faster than anyone else.... sobs!

Back to the present.

Athens n the streets of old Plaka always sends a pleasant chill down my spine...
As does Paris...
And Venice,
And Vienna...
Gosh.

Just some old deserted house...

We started photo whoring around the streets of old Plaka...
Everything look like some huge film set... like fake one... but so real n quaint...

We booked our tour to Santorini...
228 euros per pax, for flight out the next day, hotel accomodation for 3 for 1 night with sea view, n flight back.

of cos ferry will be cheaper... but it would be at least 7-10 hrs by ferry lor... very shag one lei.

Damn freaking excited.... though the tour agent said that the island is quiet as it's just the end of winter n many stores will be closed....

Snack: Crossant with choc filling!

We 3 girls were squealing, gushing n getting all excited taking pics; one of my flymates even took pic with the flight attendant....

Think they must have tot we were Japanese girls going "Kawaiii!" at everything man... gosh..
So she gave us the croissant snack... n only for us she said...
more squeals from us then... hahahaha... damn hilarious~ ;D

Actual flight time: 25 mins
And still got drink cart service... hee hee...

Our room was really fine.... had a mini kitchenette

But wat mattered most to me was the fucking beautiful view....

Santorini is rumoured to be where the lost city of Atlantis is...
Apparently a caldera was formed when a volcano erupted n Atlantis sank...
Behind me is the volcano island which sprouted out after the eruption....

Think I have seen one of the most amazing beautiful views ever than many people ever would in a lifetime.

no words can describe the beauty or awesomeness of the place
the camera couldn't capture the whole scale of things ....
Could only gaze out n take a mental picture...

Too bad my travelling companions were divas who cared more bout whether the freaking hairdryer was working in the damn room...

The tour agent ain't kidding when he said nothing was going on in Santorini at this time of the year lor...

It was a dead town.....
All the island tours were closed cos of winter.... :(
All the taverns n shops closed too....

Only 2 cafes, 3 taverns, 1 grill shop were open among the many many on the island...

We walked to the town of Fira to catch a bus to the village of Oia; where we can catch the famous beautiful sunset...

the view made me feel romantic...
Though i was alone (the diva companions went shopping n were photo whoring super long lor)

Made me feel like wanna hug a nice smelling guy (one whom i like lar of cos ;p) n enjoy the super strong breeze n even more amazing view...

And all the while i was worming my way up n down, in n out among the white washed houses on the hill side... so fun!

The pita which accompanied damn damn shiok.... *drool*

After that is calling a nite, by then one of the diva already complaining bout how bored we would be morrow... sigh.. WTF!
Just cos all the shopping were closed...
She's some urban chick, can't do without shopping..

My patience n tolerance were til THERE liao... with the whining n stuff...
And she was a hypochondraic as well...
insisted on wearing her dirty rubber slippers in our room toilet.

I was like , "can you use it last then?"

Wah lau! I myself am quite particular bout toilets, n people close to me already feel i'm quite xiao jie...

But i already tot our room was quite fine without the view.... (it rocks with the sea view lar) n i find the toilet quite clean ready lei!!

To my guy frenz who say that i machiam high maintainence gal..... think again....
the divas brought a full change of clothes, footwear inclusive, for a 2D1N stint.

And while hypochondriac chick had 2 giant toiletries bag, the other one (not that bad, actually remind me of Von right down to the way she draw her eyeliner) had 2 medium sized toiletries n 2 make up pouches.....

compared to mine.... n i only brought pressed powder, eyebrow pencil, blusher for makeup...

I woke up refreshed the next morning ready to battle whining, shopping deprived diva....

Breakfast n smoke on balcony facing the volcano island view...
Therapeutic~

Thank god for such beauty around to soothe me... else I surely would turn ugly.... *roll eyes*


We went down to Fira again n guess wat!??!

It's Carnivale!!!!

Some public holiday where they all dress up in funny stuff!

There was like a procession of school children dressed up n they were actually queuing up for the start of the Carnivale (pronounced Car-nee-var-lei) parade. Cute!

anyway, after the parade we sat at the cafe slurping on Nescafe frappes while hypochondriac diva complained of how the hour is crawling by... ;(
Pick up time to airport is 8, it was 1230pm then...

We climbed up the cliff from Fira to PhiroStefani.... where our hotel is situated...

Most of the hotels are actually apartments let out to guests... ours included...
Here's one really pretty one we walked by...


Time passed too fast for me... though if the company is better n more gung ho I wouldn't have been so exhausted....

it's back to Athens on Olympic Airways in the evening!
And work back to Sin the next morning.... phew.

Will I go back again?
You bet... for honeymoon... holiday in the Summer...
For the gorgeous view....
So i can fall in love... ; )
